Time to re-oil your deck?

10Sep

To enjoy your deck for many years to come, it is advised that you re-oil every one to two years to maintain the appearance and durability of the timber.  Dryness and loss of colour are two early signs that a deck is due for re-coating.  With Summer approaching, it’s a timely reminder to inspect your deck, because as much as we may love the sunshine, the UV rays can fade the timber and dry it out, which can lead to cracking and blistering.

Restore your deck to its original glory (or as close as possible!) with a decking oil that ticks all the boxes.  Here at No Nail Decking, we recommend UltraDeck from Intergrain.  This particular product is water based and thus, more environmentally friendly than other traditional decking oils which are commonly petroleum based.  UltraDeck provides a durable, long lasting finish to decking that enhances the characteristics of the timber grain with a super strong resistance to UV rays.  It’s developed, tested and made in Australia for use on the timbers species most commonly used in our sunburnt country!

Prepare for the warmer months by re-oiling now and you can kick back and relax on your deck knowing that it’s protected for another year.  For any questions or further instructions on how to re-oil your deck with UltraDeck, simply call us on 1300 733 559.
